The New York Journal of Style and Medicine is currently reviewing and accepting health-based articles from certified medical practitioners and "artwork" from the general public. We publish quarterly. We welcome submissions of the highest quality but do not have specific guidelines for style, genre, or subject matter. We will get back with you if we are interested in featuring your work.
While we are working on formal Terms and Conditions, it is imperative that you understand by emailing, you are granting us permission to post your work and attest that it is your original work. We in no way assume ownership of your work, nor do we have any intention of reproducing or distributing your work anywhere outside of your featured section of NYJSM.com. Your work can be removed from NYJSM.com at anytime upon your request.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR MEDICAL WRITERS
Every article will undergo an editing process to ensure your work is medically accurate, understandable and entertaining to read.
1. Please clearly state your name, contact information, and highest level of academic training ie. MD, DO, DMD or Medical Student - MSI,II,III, or IV, with institution. Provide necessary references if applicable.
2. Save your work as a Microsoft Word document
3. Title the subject of your email with the particular field of medicine you are submitting for web-publication. [Please note: Our medical articles are arranged by the following thematic topics with more to follow: Allergy, Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Emergency, Endocrinology, Ear Nose and Throat, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, OBGYN, Ophtamology, Orthopaedics, Pediatrics, Plastic Surgery, Psychiatry, Rheumatology, and Trauma.]
4. Be sure to save your article as an MS Word document and Click here to submit via email
5. If accepted for web-publication, you will receive a URL link to feature on your Curriculum Vitae.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR ARTISTS
The concept of featuring various artists and their work is to assist in the entertainment of our visitors. All work will be appropriately referenced and linked to the web site of your choice. If you do not have a web site, NYJSM.com will field emails of interested viewers and pass them on to you.
Submitting Artwork by Email:
1. Please set images to a height of 350 pixels
2. Save your images as .jpeg files if photo images; Use MS Word for all text.
3. Number approximately 7 to 10 images: 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg, etc . . .
4. Title your email with your particular genre of "Artwork" (photography, artist, fashion design, model, music) and your name

Music Submissions
Email us with a URL where we can hear your music. We are working on an encrypted media player for viewers to play as they are navigating NYJSM.com. Mp3 files will be protected from download.
